SUBJECT – EXTENSION OF FACILITY OF DIRECT ADMISSIBLE TREATMENT WITHOUT REFERRAL TO OFFICERS IN THE GRADE PAY OF RS. 7600/- AND ABOVE

       Delhi Government Employees Health Scheme was formulated for serving employees / pensioner of Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi in 1997. The scheme was communicated vide letters No. F.No. 27(9)/96-M&FW dated 26/09/1997. The Scheme was last revised vide F.25(III)/DGEHS/286/DHS/2012/41694-908 deted 25/06/2013.

      Consequent to review and rationalization of different provisions and procedures of the Delhi Government Employees Health Scheme, the following provision / modification has been approved by council of Ministers vide cabinet decision no. 2045 dated 15/07/2013 communicated vide letter no. F.3/2/2011-GAD/CN/Pt. File-1/3200-3211 dated 17/07/2013 for better implementation of the scheme.

       Facility of direct admissible treatment without referral to officers in the grade pay of Rs. 7600/- and above- There will be no need for authorization/permission for Officers of GNCT of Delhi in the Pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 12000-16550 corresponding to present Grade Pay of Rs.7,600/- and above or equivalent, including Judicial Officers, for entitled treatment for self and dependent family members in private empanelled hospitals as admissible under the provisions of the Delhi Govt. Employees Health Scheme in the specialties the hospitals is recognized for. The same facility of direct entitled treatment for self and their family members from private empanelled hospitals will continue to be available to them and their dependents even after retirement of above mentioned categories. The same shall also be available to Officers of above mentioned categories who have already retired from service.

       The above provisions will be applicable with immediate effect.
